Hey anytime you can host the World Cup in a country smaller than Connecticut, with the population of Rhode Island, where homosexuality/Judaism/soft porn/budweiser are punisheble crimes and where there is no discernable soccer culture whatsoever and the national team would lose to Barbados....you have to do it.
Maybe the powers that be were figuring that blowing a vuvuzela is akin to homosexuality and there will be punishable by death.
